We value safety to ensure the best riding experience to all of our racers. Please take a moment to review our general rules.
- ANSI/Snell approved bicycle helmets are required.
- Minimum 10 racers per category. Race categories that do not meet a minimum number of racers may be combined with another category at the race directors discretion.
- Time limit of 3 hours will be implemented and at the discretion of the race marshals and Race director.
- Ride No more than 2 abreast.
- Violators of safety rules may be disqualified.
These Safety Guideline’s are in place to ensure the safety of all riders, please take a moment to view them.
- This is not a closed course. This race is open to regular vehicle traffic.
- Obey All traffic laws.
- You must follow the Michigan Vehicle code.
- Cycling road rules apply.
- You must STOP at all stop signs, always yield to the right-away.
- Do NOT cross the center-line of the road.
We want to ensure that riders are covered in the event of a null finish on race day. Please ensure you read over the following before the event.
- Obey All traffic laws.
- Lead Vehicle will be present on race day.
- Riders must provide their own means of transportation in the event one is unable or doesn’t finish.

We reserve the right to delay or cancel the start of the “Lowell Classic” gravel road race in the event of adverse or inclement weather or unsafe conditions. Determination and definition of adverse or inclement weather conditions will solely belong to the discretion of the Race Director. Visit lowellclassic.com for

Yes, you are allowed to register somebody else’s spot for race day, but they will need to be present on race day with a valid form of ID to participate if they are 18 years or older.
No, you have to be present with a valid form of ID to pick up your packet on race day unless you are under the age of 18. There are no exceptions, this will be strictly enforced.
Yes, there is a limited amount of registration spots available. This may be subject to change by the sole discretion of the race director.

The minimum age requirement to participate is 11 years or older.
Yes, we currently are accepting a limited amount of same day registration. This may be subject to change at the sole discretion of the race director.
Yes, we have an official production media team for race day, that will be shooting photography and videography. Ask our team to take your picture!
This is not a closed course. There are no road closures and is open to regular vehicle traffic.
Race results will be updated live as racers finish, seek our “Race Results” page at “Lowellclassic.com/raceresults”.
Packet pickup starts on race day, where you may pick-up your bib number with timing chips Saturday morning between 8:00 and 9:30 AM at the Fallasburg Park lodge. Packet pickup for the Rogue 100 racers starts at 7:15 until 7:45 AM in the lodge. Have any questions? Don’t hesitate to reach out to us, or see a volunteer on race day!
We support RFID chip timing with extremely accurate live results, that link directly to our website! We have two alternative timing units tracking simultaneously to ensure every racer gets an accurate reading. Not only do we have backup systems, we also record the finish line. In the event we have a photo finish, we are adequately prepared and equipped to handle that!
Parking for this year’s event is located directly across the street from the lodge at Fallasburg County Park, which supports roughly 600-700 Vehicles. If you forget where to go, don’t worry! There will be volunteers guiding you to the designated location on race day!
